Tips For TABC Mobile Compliance app

Today we thought that we would share some of the tips that we have found to be helpful in regards to the TABC Mobile Compliance app (Check out our Video on this topic here). This is something that TABC has rolled out as of September 1st, 2019. It will be required of all permit holders going forward. When we say all permit holders it means Restaurants, Bars, or even Convenient Stores to name a few. It is expected to be completed between September 1st and December 1st of every year.

There are a few steps we suggest that you go thru before you start with the process.

First, you need to download the app to the mobile device you plan on using to complete the report. If you will be using an Android device you would download it from the Google play store. If you are using an Apple device you will be going to the App Store. If you are not sure what type of device you have all Apple iPhone’s have the Apple logo on the back.

Once you have that completed we suggest you locate your TABC signs and Current TABC permit. IF you do not have the proper signs you need contact us so we can get them for you. Depending on where you are located we can either send them to you or take them with us when we conduct the inspection. We also suggest you have information about the officers that are on the permit because at a point in the report you will be asked to fill out that information.

Next, you are going to need to register on a portal TABC has set up on their website that will allow you to Add Users to your account and Update phone numbers if need be.

Now you will go back to your mobile device that you downloaded the app on, click the app and type your email into the prompt. You will then receive an 8-digit code to your email address (which is the same email you entered earlier when you registered).

It should be mentioned you have to be at the location which you’re conducting the compliance reporting for, It is will access your GPS so you have to be there, or within so many feet of the location.

Then, you are going to be prompted to answer some questions about the location, your signage, and hours of operation. Those questions are going to vary depending on the type of TABC permit that you carry. Finally, when you have completed the report you will know because you get a message that says you have successfully completed the report. Within 24-48 Hours you will get an email (the same email from earlier) that summarizes all the questions you have answered as well as the pictures you took.
